After separation it is spray dried and made into a powder. Milk Permeate consists of lactose, vitamins, minerals and water. Functional properties such as foaming and heat stability are suitable.

Application of the product

Milk permeate is suitable as a substitute for sweet whey powder or skimmed milk powder. It can be used in bakery and confectionery products, beverages, dairy based blends and ice cream. It can also be used by dairy industries to standardize milk.
